Norwegian Greentech AS, Norway

Norwegian Greentech AS

Norwegian Greentech AS (formally known as MMC Green Technologies) was established in 2010 in Fosnavåg, Norway, as part of MMC First Process AS.

Since our inception, we have focused our research on space-saving, reliable performance, optimized efficiency and operational features. Early partnerships with Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) and DNV-GL underpinned our endeavor to build a performant and efficient system.

Norwegian BWMS received IMO/DNL-GL type approval in December 2012, after several years of patenting own design, successful testing in challenging water conditions and product development. In August 2013, Norwegian Greentech BWMS received the USCG AMS type approval.

In July 2019, MMC First Process sold their 77,78% shareholding in Norwegian Greentech to Havyard Group ASA. The remaining shares were owned by key employees who have been employed by the company since its formation.

In 2021, HAV Group was established by Havyard Group as the majority shareholder at that time. The HAV Group comprises today four subsidiaries with several decades of combined experience in the industry, including Norwegian Greentech.

In May 2022, HAV Group acquired the remaining 22.72 percent of the Norwegian Greentech shares, bringing the total ownership by HAV Group to 100 percent.
